A Bristol bus service that was previously scrapped is to return under a new operator.

Transpora Bus has announced it will operate the 90 route, which runs from Hengrove Park to Broadmead, from April.

The route, which will pass through Imperial Park, Knowle West and Bedminster, was cancelled by previous operator First at the start of September 2023.

Following this, First’s 70 service, which previously ran from UWE Bristol’s Frenchay Campus to Temple Meads Station, was rerouted to Hengrove via the city centre, Bedminster and Knowle West.

Announcing the return of the 90, Transpora wrote on social media: “We'll be connecting Hengrove Park (Hospital), Imperial Park, Knowle, Bedminster and Broadmead every 30 minutes with our NEW 90 route from Monday 8th April 2024.

"Perfect links for work, shopping, leisure and pleasure!

"We'll be posting more info soon including route maps and the timetable will be on the website shortly."

The return of the 90 comes after Transpora announced the return of the 23 between Ashton Vale and Broadmead from April, after it was also previously axed by First.
