Police release CCTV footage in appeal to identify man after assault left victim unconscious in hospital

Avon and Somerset Police has called on the public to help identify a man following an attack at a Bristol bar which left the victim unconscious.

CCTV footage has been released to aid officers in their investigation of the incident which took place at the BSB Sports Bar, on the waterfront. The attack took place at around 1.30am on December 9.

The 25-year-old victim fell to the ground and sustained a significant head injury, rendering him unconscious. He was later taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged to recover at home.

Officers believe a man featured in the CCTV has information about what happened that night. The pictured male officers would like to speak to is white, aged 30-40 years old, around 6ft tall, of large build with short, brown hair, with short facial stubble.

He is shown wearing a light-coloured hoodie with a black zip down the front, dark skinny jeans and black trainers with white accents. If you have any information or can help us identify the man pictured, please call 101 and quote reference 5222301330.
