Police find body in search for missing 20-year-old man last seen leaving Bristol nightclub

Avon and Somerset Police has confirmed officers have discovered a body during their search for missing Jake, 20, who has not been seen since Sunday (March 5).

The body was found last night (March 10) and is yet to be formally identified. Officers have updated Jake’s family accordingly and stated their thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

A spokesperson for the police service said: “We are not treating the death as suspicious and we are continuing to carry out enquiries on behalf of the coroner. We would like to thank the public for sharing our appeal [to find Jake].”

The appeal which was issued earlier this week noted that police had become ‘increasingly concerned for the welfare’ of Jake who was last seen leaving the O2 Academy venue, in Frogmore Street, at around 1.45am on Sunday.
