Carol Vorderman has reignited a feud with her ex-best friend Michelle Mone. The former Countdown presenter, 62, who lives in Bristol, took a fresh swipe at her former friend on social media and offered her some ‘free advice’.

The former Countdown host was reacting to reports that the Conservative peer and businesswoman has parted ways with a PR company. Michelle recently enlisted the help of Borkowski PR agency which specialises in reputation and crisis management, as she tries to rehabilitate her public image. It comes after allegations that she profited from a government PPE contract during the covid pandemic.

Carol took to Twitter and blasted the 51-year-old while giving her advice. She told her followers: "The PR company Michelle Mone paid to "rescue her image" has dropped her!! Here’s some free PR advice...1. Pay back the money you’ve taken as a Pandemic Profiteer. 2. Say you’re sorry 3. Give a multi-million-pound donation to an NHS Charity on top. Cos only that could even begin to rescue your image."

Carol has taken aim at her former friend Michelle on a number of occasions on social media and the TV show This Morning. The pair were once extremely close, having met over a decade ago, and used to enjoy nights out together.

Speaking on James O’Brien’s Full Disclosure podcast earlier this year, Carol lifted the lid on her friendship with Michelle. She explained: “Well, let’s talk about Michelle. I’ll tell you what it is. If I introduce you to someone, ‘Oh, this is my friend, who’s got this amazing company…’ You’d take that at face value because you respect my judgement, right?"

Carol continued: “So, at that time, or a year later, I started introducing the Loose Women show on ITV - I was in London all the time, and they gave you an allowance for a hotel because I lived in Bristol. So I started staying in The Dorchester, and I would top up, and that’s my choice. And I was doing other work as well. And she was staying there at the same time. So, you’re a single woman, you go downstairs to the bar, and that’s where it sort of began.

“It lasted about, I’d say 18 months maybe - something like that. I won’t go into detail, but I just realised, ‘Woah, I don’t want to be seen with this person.’” Asked whether she was surprised by their feud, Carol admitted: “No, not surprised at all.”
