Bristol stars Josie Gibson & Ella Morgan enjoy night out together at the BAFTA TV Awards

Bristol television stars Josie Gibson and Ella Morgan were amongst the many celebrities enjoying an evening at the BAFTA TV awards last night.

The 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P+O Cruises took place on Sunday night and saw some of the small screen’s most famous stars head to London's Royal Festival Hall for a night of glamourous celebrations.

Included in the list of celebrity guests was South Gloucestershire born This Morning presenter Josie Gibson and the Bristol born reality star Ella Morgan.

Evidently friends thanks to their shared locality, 40-year-old Josie, who now lives in Bristol, took to her Instagram account to reveal she spent the evening with neighbour Ella.

The mum of one and former Big Brother winner posted a picture of herself and Ella smiling alongside overlay text that read: “At last with the queen”.

The pair look rather merry in the photo as they pose whilst sat on a yellow sofa with panoramic city views.

Former Married At First Sight and Celebs Go Dating star Ella also made headlines for her outfit choice at the BAFTAs last night.

The 29-year-old wore a glamourous black strapless mermaid gown with a white floral skirt by House of Savin but it was her bag which turned the most heads.

Ella, MAFS’ first out trans contestant, carried a black bag which read “Trans men are men” on one side and “trans women are women” on the other.

Speaking on the red carpet about her statement accessory, Ella told The News Movement: “I’ve already done a trans flag dress so I can’t do that again. So I was like let’s put it on a bag and let’s rep the community because we are women and trans men are men and we’re amazing.

“I joke about being in my advocate era at the minute and I feel like I’m calssy, I’m less doing like reality TV and more doing advocacy.

“I think I was given that role [of being a trans advocate] whether I wanted it or not and obviously I’m not complaining but it’s a lot of pressure when the whole community sees you on a show making history as a trans woman when we don’t get much visibility anwyay, they kind of give you that title whether you, like I said, whether you want it or not.

“So I thought, well if I’m being given this tile, I have to do my utmost to be a positive representation, not just for trans people but for everyone, anyone queer, anyone who you know feels different and not represented and I take it really seriously. I like to think I’m doign a good job being a voice for everyone and trying to show that trans people exist. We always ahve and we’re no different than anyone elese- well a bit more fabulous!”
