Sports coaches, academics and healthcare chiefs are among dozens of people in and around Bristol to be recognised in King Charles’ first New Year Honours List. The list also includes NHS workers, conservation experts and all-round do-gooders - all of whom have made outstanding contributions to their community this year.
Among the recipients is CEO of the Bristol Beacon, Louise Mitchell, whose contribution to Arts in the city spans more than four decades. Ms Mitchell has dedicated her career to opening up the world of music to Bristolians, in particular classical music to diverse audiences.
