Huge new Bristol bargain food warehouse issues opening update after 'unexpected delays'

Bargain Brand Foods says it is now “finally opening” and that it will be giving an exact date soon.

The store is opening at Unit 1A, part of The Printworks on Foundry Lane in Speedwell, but building work has taken longer than originally anticipated.

In a post on their new Facebook page today (Friday, March 7), the store wrote: “After some unexpected delays and setbacks, we are THRILLED to announce that we will be opening our brand-new store, Bargain Brand Foods Foundry Lane.

“We've been working hard behind the scenes, and now we're ready to bring you unbeatable bargains and top-quality products!

“The first lot of racking has gone into store this morning…

“Thank you for your patience, support, and excitement throughout this journey.

“We can’t wait to welcome you all through our doors.

“Come celebrate with us and be a part of our grand opening!

“We will be announcing our official opening date soon.”

Bargain Brand Foods will offer ‘big discounts’ on short- and long-dated food and drink, with some items past their best before date.

The store has been looking for a new Bristol home since having to close their former site in Avonmouth at the start of 2024 after just a month.
