The shop will sell various types of bottled gin, glassware, cocktail sets, merchandise and clothing. Sampling will take place on site too.

Bramley and Gage has applied for a licence that allows the shop to open seven days a week, with 9pm closing Monday to Saturday and 5pm closing on Sundays.

The craft gin distillery 6 O’clock Gin is made in small batches, using traditional skills and natural ingredients.

Bramley & Gage was started 30 years ago by fruit farm owners Edward and Penny Kain, who started by making fruity liqueurs as a sideline.

They quickly made a name for their sloe gin and then Michael and Felicity took over their parents’ distillery and launched 6 O’clock Gin, which has gone on to win countless awards and grace the drinks menu of many top restaurants.

The range of 6 O’clock Gins now includes London Dry, Damson and a Brunel gin distilled with more juniper and six additional botanicals.
