The 10 most expensive areas to buy a property in Bristol have been revealed as the city’s property market kept house hunters on their toes in the last two years.
The Office for National Statistics data shows the median house price hit £266,500 in Bristol in the year to June 2022 – a decrease of £47,500 compared to the previous 12 months. But, the most expensive area in Bristol has soared by more than £56,000 over a 12-month period meaning it has leapfrogged the two previously most expensive neighbourhoods, both based in Westbury.
The median price paid for a property means the ONS has arranged every deal struck to purchase a home in the year ending June 2022 and selected the middle price. Therefore, there will be an equal 50/50 split of purchases in each area above the price included in the list and below it.
