Man rushed to hospital with back injury after assault at property

A man has been hospitalised and another has been arrested an incident at a property in Bristol. 

Police were called to the address on Cotham Brow in Cotham, near Cheltenham Road, at around 1am on Saturday, March 30 after receiving a report of an assault.

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with a puncture wound in his lower back. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue. 

The two people are known to each other, police say, and this is believed to be an isolated incident.
