Local foodbank looks for volunteers for upcoming event

North Bristol & South Glos Foodbank are looking for volunteers aged 18+ to help in the upcoming Foodbank Tesco Collection at Golden Hill, Henleaze.

Volunteers will be tasked with greeting and engaging customers to raise awareness about the foodbank, offering advice, shopping lists and leaflets on the best items to donate, thanking customers and explaining where their donation is going.

They will also be expected to receive food donations, load and unload the collection van and sort the food ready for delivery back to the foodbank.

The event will be held on April 27 and 28 with two-hour volunteer slots available from 9am to 7pm on Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

Those who volunteer will help to maximise food donations to the foodbank and raise awareness of the foodbank in the local community.
