Inquest opens into death of Bristol counsellor found dead in her garage

A Bristol counsellor who was found dead in her garage, an inquest heard.

Sovereign Jones, aged 32, was found by her partner at her home in Langton Way, St Anne’s after she noticed the garage door was ‘slightly ajar’ on April 28.

At an inquest opening into her death at Avon Coroner’s Court on Thursday (May 26) senior coroner Maria Voisin was told that Ms Jones had been working as a counsellor.

Ms Jones’s father was present in court for the short hearing in Flax Bourton.

The provisional cause of death was given as 1a) unascertained.

Ms Voisin adjourned the full inquest to take place at a later date.
