Injured woman refuses treatment after man arrested in assault incident

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for information after an incident in Bristol led to a man being arrested and a woman being injured. 

Police were called to Salisbury Avenue in St George’s, near Two Mile Hill Road, just after 5.45pm yesterday (April 2) following reports that a woman had been assaulted.

Officers attended and carried out enquiries to trace the woman, who had left the area. She declined medical treatment for her injuries.

A man in his 40s was arrested at 5.50pm on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.
