In pictures: First look at the stunning new restaurant inside Bristol Beacon

Colonnade is in the original foyer of the 19th-century concert hall

The new restaurant at Bristol Beacon opens tomorrow (January 5) under the stunning Bristol Byzantine arches of the original foyer.

Offering ‘a fresh take on modern European cuisine’, Colonnade is run by bespoke caterer Graysons.

A contemporary restaurant with original chandeliers reclaimed from the 1950s auditorium, the seasonal menu offers a range of modern European small to large plates with locally sourced ingredients and cooked by chef Joshua Bebbington.

With over 20 years of experience working across the world, Joshua has come back to Bristol to take a position as executive chef, overseeing all culinary aspects of the Bristol Beacon site.

He is a classically trained chef, and having spent years in some of the UK’s most famous restaurants including River Cottage and L’Escargot in London.
