The wintry weather is here - what better time to have an indulgent hot chocolate to warm you up on a cold, wet and windy day?
We all have our favourite ways to enjoy a hot chocolate, whether that’s a straightforward version with milk or one with irresistible toppings such as whipped cream, flakes, or in some cases marshmallows and a flake.
Whether you are heading in to work in the morning and looking to pick up something on your way there or about to head out for walk in one of Bristol’s lovely parks, we’ve put together a list of eight of the best spots in the city to have a hot chocolate.
1. Ruby Jeans, The Parade, Shirehampton
This popular cafe in a former bank is the place to go when you’re in Shirehampton and in need of a warming hot chocolate after a long walk.
2. Cloakroom Cafe, Woodland Road
Housed in a former Edwardian toilet block, Cloakroom Cafe serves a range of delicious drinks and they have even served a beetroot infused hot chocolate.
3. Mrs Potts Chocolate House, Park Street
This chocoholics’ paradise sells a range of hot chocolate drinks and there are often new items on the menu. One of our past favourites has been the s’mores hot chocolate topped with marshmallow fluff and a Graham cracker.
4. Society Cafe, Baldwin Street and Narrow Quay
One of the best places in Bristol for coffee, Society Cafe also makes a fantastic hot chocolate using chunks of dark, milk or white chocolate whisked with steamed milk.
