Huge craft beer festival returns to Bristol with top local breweries and big name DJs

The Idles frontman will be headlining the Saturday night DJ slot

Propyard’s Hoptoberfest returns this November with steins of craft beers, bratwurst, an oompah band and a special DJ set from Idles frontman Joe Talbot.

The two-day event will feature drinks from the very best of Bristol’s indies, plus breweries from further afield who will be providing unlimited pours, allowing guests to sample each beverage and get the full experience of Hoptoberfest.

For anyone who isn’t a fan of beer, cider, wines, spirits and soft drinks will also be available over the weekend.

Breweries and cider makers taking part in the festival include Arbor Ales, Left Handed Giant, Wiper & True, Lost and Grounded, Fierce & Noble, Brick Brewery, JUBEL, Hackney Church, Bristol Cider Company, Ciderbox, Electric Bear, Beyond Belief Brewing, Kicking Goat Cider and By The Numbers Brewing.

There will also be a range of street food including German bratwurst and schnitzel.

DJs will be performing throughout the day with headline DJ sets from Norman Jay on the Friday and Idles frontman Joe Talbot on Saturday night.

Taking place at Propyard’s multi-purpose space in St Philip’s, Hoptoberfest will be held in the venue’s Crane Room.

There are three sessions and visitors can either attend Friday’s night session from 6pm - 11pm, Saturday’s day session from 12pm - 5pm, Saturday’s night session from 6pm - 11pm or all three sessions.

The event takes place on Friday November 10 and Saturday November 11. Early bird tickets are on sale here for £35 plus booking fee which will give people access to all-you-can-drink beer and cider, all served up in Bavarian steins.
