What is the Race Through Chepstow Racecourse?

This event gives those interested in taking part the unique opportunity to run on one of the most popular tracks in the United Kingdom - Chepstow Racecourse.

Since the racecourse opened its doors in the 1920s, it has become one of the country’s most bustling tracks and is synonymously used for horse racing.

Chepstow Racecourse is famously known for being the home of the Welsh Grand National, which is the biggest race day in Wales.

This event gives people of all running abilities the chance to take part, have fun and raise all the money they can for various charities.

It normally includes three different types of races - a 5k, a 10k and a half-marathon.

When is the Race Through Chepstow Racecourse in 2022?

The Race Through Chepstow Racecourse event is just around the corner at the time of publication.

It is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 10 July 2022.

If you are looking to attend the event, make your way down to Chepstow Racecourse, which is just a short 20 minute drive from Bristol City Centre.

The full address of the site is as follows: St Lawrence Road, Chepstow, NP16 6BE.

According to its official Facebook page, the event will kick off at 9:30 am and come to its conclusion at 12:30 pm.

The half-marathon begins at 9:30 am, the 10k will be at 10:15 am and the 5k will start at 10:25 am.

What are the routes for 5k, 10k and half-marathon runs?

Due to the fact that it is held on the tracks of Chepstow Racecourse, each of the three different types of races will have the exact same route as it follows a lap circuit.

Each mile will be accurately marked out, with plenty of volunteers and helpers on standby ready to offer their support if it is ever needed.

The 5k will involve one lap of the track, the 10k will require two laps, and for those who wish to test themselves with the half-marathon, you will need to do four laps of the racecourse.

Despite the fact that the event is a matter of days away at the time of publication, you can still submit entries to each of the three different races at the Race Through Chepstow Racecourse 2022.

To do so, you must visit the event’s official RunThrough page, where you can purchase your tickets that are priced at the following:

  • 5k race - £26 per person, minimum age of 11
  • 10k race - £28 per person, minimum age of 15
  • Half-marathon - £30 per person, minimum age of 17
