A woman claims she was given cling film to wrap up her leftover Sunday roast at a Toby Carvery pub in Bristol.

Trinity Martin, aged 18, did ask for a box to take away the food she hadn’t eaten at the Maes Knoll pub in Whitchurch on Sunday.

However, she claims they were told they couldn’t have one - and were given cling film instead.

The family ended up throwing the wrapped up food in the bin when they arrived home, she said.

Trinity, a trainee lash technician from Knowle Park said: “It looked vile. We were very shocked. We were laughing because everyone around us were giving weird looks.

“We thought the waitress was joking at first but she wasn’t.

“We brought it home because we didn’t want to be rude, but we didn’t actually eat it because it looked gross.”

Toby Carvery has been approached for a comment.
