Historic Bristol swimming pool to extend opening hours from next month

A historic swimming pool in Bristol is extending its opening hours from next month.
Bristol South Swimming Pool, on Dean Lane in Bedminster, has announced it will soon be operating from 7am to 10pm, Monday to Friday.

Hide AdThe changes are set to come into play in less than two weeks’ time, from June 3.
The pool wrote on its social media: “Bristol South is proud to announce we will be extending our opening hours!
“As of 3rd June, we will be operating between 07:00 - 22:00, Monday - Friday (Weekend hours will remain the same).
“This means we have made some changes to our timetable”.

Hide AdCurrently, the pool is open from 7.30am to 2.30pm on Monday and 7.30am to 10pm, Tuesday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open from 8am to 3pm.
Managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Bristol City Council, Bristol South has served the community since 1931 and is set in a Grade 2 listed building.
The 30.5m pool hosts aquatic activities including swimming lessons and fitness sessions. In November 2019 It was shut for a £200,000 programme of repairs and improvements, reopening in July 2021.
