Helen Flanagan: Corrie star ‘splits’ from Scott Sinclair - days after he signs for Bristol Rovers

Recently-returned Bristol Rovers winger, Scott Sinclair has split from long-term fiancée and former Coronation Street actress, Helen Flanagan, according to reports. The pair have three children from their 13-year relationship.

Scott Sinclair returned to Bristol Rovers, where he began his career, last week and featured briefly in the Gas’ 2-2 draw at home to Plymouth Argyle.

The former Chelsea and Man City player described being ‘excited’ and ‘happy’ to be returning to BS7. Sinclair said: “It’s strange but at the same time it’s exciting, I’m really excited for my next chapter, my next challenge and I’m very happy to be back.

“It’s a great touch to come back and be part of it now. It’s to go out and enjoy my football, I’m an experienced pro and the main thing is to be happy playing. I’ve played at the highest level and I just want to be in a position where I can be expressive and add something to the team.”

Following news of the split, Rovers fans commented on social media groups. One said: “What, moving south not good enough for her? Wanted to be a Cheshire WAG? Don’t worry Scott you are home now UTG.”

Another said: “I must be getting old, I’ve never heard of her, what does she do?”
