Once opened, the store based at 1, The Square, Temple Quay will be the 20th Greggs in the city.

A spokesperson said: “Greggs is due to open a new shop at Temple Quay in the next few months. While we are unable to share any details at the moment, we will be sure to share further information in the coming months.”

The bakery chain has previously announced its intentions to open drive-thru takeaways in Cribbs Causeway and in Abbey Wood retail park in Filton - with the latter potentially opening later this year.

“We can confirm we’re looking to open a drive-thru at Abbey Wood Retail Park later this year and will be sure to share information in due course.” The spokesperson added.
