Great Bristol Run 2024: first look at this year's medal design

The medals are inspired by iconic elements of the city

Organisers of the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run have revealed the medal design for the thousands of finishers at the 2024 half marathon or 10k.

This year’s Great Bristol Run medals are inspired by iconic elements of the city. The front of the 10K and half marathon medals include the Flower of Bristol as the main focal point.

On the back, there are iconic landmarks on the route including the towers of the Clifton Suspension Bridge and waves for the River Avon.

There are also ten or 13 lines that encircle the design to remind runners how many kilometres or miles they have completed.

Taking place on Sunday May 19, the Great Bristol Run is a celebration of the power of running and is a run for everyone, of all ages and abilities.

The event is famous for its music, buzzing atmosphere and entertainment zones that celebrate local character and culture at every kilometre.

Each year, thousands of runners push their perseverance and passion to the limit and take on the super-scenic 10k and half marathon routes. To take part in the run, you can sign up here.
