Funeral details confirmed for Bristol teenager Max Dixon who was stabbed to death

The funeral details have been confirmed for a Bristol teenager who was stabbed to death earlier in the year.

A notice by Dignity Funeral Directors says the service for Max Dixon will be held at Imperial Sports Ground on West Town Lane in Brislington on March 21 at 12.30pm.

The 16-year-old was killed in the street alongside his friend Mason Rist, 15, on Ilminster Avenue in Knowle West on January 27.

The service will be followed by a private committal at Bristol South Crematorium, but people are invited to stay at the Imperial Ground for the reception at 2pm.

The funeral notice said: "We have asked for family flowers only. We would prefer it if you would like to make a donation for Bristol Knife Bin & Bleed kit Campaign a donation box will be provided at the funeral.

"After the service, the committal will be a private time for us to say our goodbyes to Max, but please stay at the Imperial Ground for Drinks and refreshments and to share memories of Max."

In a Facebook post, Max's mum Leanne added: "Max's funeral is taking place at the Imperial Ground in Brislington at 12.30pm where everyone can pay their respects to Max, when his service has been done, a small number of people will then go to Bristol South to have a small private ceremony where everyone else will remain at the Imperial Ground, we will then return to celebrate Max's life at the Imperial Ground."
