This year, Almondsbury Creative in Almondsbury has been put up for the ‘best pub for families’ award, and it’s up against pubs in Dorset, Greater Manchester, Liverpool and Nottinghamshire.

A former social club, Almondsbury Creative is a popular arts and crafts hub serving the North Bristol community.

As well as hosting local sports clubs, it runs classes, fairs and festivals, and it is a popular venue for food especially the Sunday roasts.

The Keynsham Courtyard in Keynsham is up for ‘Admiral Taverns pub of the year’.

Well known for its live music and open mic nights, the pub on High Street reopened earlier this year after a major renovation and is run by Rob Moore.

Meanwhile, The Swan at Thornbury and The White Horse at Hambrook are both nominated in the ‘Stonegate Group Pub Partners pub of the year’ category.

The pubs will know if they’ve won at The Great British Pub Awards 2023 ceremony in Manchester on September 19.
