Thousands of people flocked to the Downs for day one of the Forwards festival, which returned for a second year with a stellar line-up.
American star Erykah Badu treated festivalgoers to a memorable headline set and there were huge crowds for Raye, who performed her hits in the late afternoon sunshine.
The Conversation stage attracted large crowds of all ages, with highlights including an interview with BBC historian David Olusoga.
There’s a packed line-up for day two today, with Leftfield, Arlo Parks, Primal Scream and Aphex Twin among the big names performing.
