Food hygiene ratings given to 10 Bristol establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 10 of Bristol’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Sai Kung Cafe at 54 Park Street, City Centre, Bristol; rated on March 21

• Rated 5: Bristol Community Meals at 21 Chancery Street, Lawrence Hill, Bristol; rated on March 13

• Rated 5: Pepe's Piri Piri at 94 Stapleton Road, Easton, Bristol; rated on March 13

• Rated 5: Kottu Hut Ltd at 31a Zetland Road, Redland, Bristol; rated on September 27

• Rated 4: MUSE Brasserie at Crown House, 37-41 Prince Street, City Centre, Bristol; rated on February 28

• Rated 2: Talwar Express at 7 St Augustines Parade, City Centre, Bristol; rated on February 28

• Rated 1: Ruby Hue at Unit 2 Hawkins Lane Building, East Tucker Street, Redcliff, Bristol; rated on February 28
