First look pictures of the stunning refurbishment of popular pub near Bristol

The pub's restaurant serves a carvery every day

A popular pub near Bristol has reopened its doors after undergoing a six-figure refurbishment. The Star pub and carvery in Congresbury closed in early November for refurbishment, resulting in new décor throughout the pub and a new and improved exterior.

Internally, as well as a new warm colour scheme, guests can benefit from the addition of a cosy seating area around an open fire.

Externally, new festoon lighting has been added to create a brighter and more comfortable seating area with an additional 60 covers, meaning there’s more room than ever for guests.

As part of the refurbishment, the kitchen area of The Star has been refurbished and upgraded from top to bottom, meaning that guests can once again enjoy a fresh carvery every day, with a choice of three 14-hour slow cooked glazed meats on offer.

In addition to the carvery offering, people can also enjoy a range of pub classics and seasonal serves in the run up to Christmas.

As well as improvements to the pub, the investment has also provided a significant boost to local jobs, with ten new hires joining The Star in recent weeks.

Oliver Daniels, General Manager of The Star said: “Our team at The Star are excited to welcome customers back, both old and new, and show everyone what we have been working on over the past month.

“There’s always been a fantastic sense of community at The Star, and we’re confident the new and improved space is going to wow our guests as we head towards the festive season.”
