One of Bristol’s newest restaurants has unveiled what is sure to become one of the city’s best ‘hidden gem’ alfresco dining spaces.

A.B.O.E. (which stands for A Bit Of Everything) is located on the site previously occupied by the Flipside cocktail bar on Whiteladies Road.

Since it opened in February, it has gained widespread praise from diners impressed by chef Seb Merry’s seasonal dishes and focus on locally sourced produce.

A.B.O.E. is now extending its offering to allow diners to enjoy food and drinks in a newly renovated garden space - providing a hidden oasis in the heart of Whiteladies Road.

The garden space, to the rear of the venue, will be open day from Friday to Sunday, and will be available for casual dining or just drinks.

The space brings some much needed garden space to Whiteladies Road, which currently has very little in the way of outdoor drinking and dining space.

It will also play host to A.B.O.E’s new ‘Sunday Sessions’ which will bring DJs playing laid back Sunday-style music to the space every weekend.

The Sunday Sessions will launch on Sunday May 21, which will coincide with the popular Cotham Hill street party which takes place just around the corner.

Speaking about the opening of the garden, Seb said: “When we first took on the space, many people were surprised to learn we even have an outdoor space, so we’re really excited to bring our new ‘secret garden’ to Whiteladies, as there’s currently very little outdoor space for food and drinks in the area.

“Myself and the team have been working really hard on making the garden a beautiful space to drink and dine, coming in on days when we’re closed and all mucking in to make sure it’s a really special spot, and we can’t wait to welcome people in to check it out for after-work drinks on a Friday, a casual Saturday lunch or a Sunday Roast with great tunes on our Sunday Sessions!”

The garden will be open from 12pm until 10pm Friday and Saturday and 12pm - 8pm on Sundays. The space will be available for walk-ins only.
