First-look at Avon Valley Easter event with baby lambs, The Grinch and a candy cannon

The Easter EGGStravaganza is being held over the next two weeks

An Easter event near Bristol includes live lambing, The Grinch and the UK’s first candy cannon.

The Easter EGGStravaganza is being held at Avon Valley in Keynsham - and BristolWorld was given a sneak peek.

The two-week-long festivities will kick off with a bang tomorrow (March 29), as the park fires the UK’s first-ever candy cannon, showering the crowd in sweets.

The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at the park alongside newfound nemesis, The Grinch, who has moved away from stealing Christmas and is now determined to take over Easter in Avon Valley’s first-ever Easter show.

Returning for 2024 is the park’s beloved Maternity Ewe-nit, where lambs are born every day throughout the Easter Eggstravaganza as part of a live lambing event.

Avon Valley’s shepherds will be on hand to give educational talks, as well as lamb bottle feeding demonstrations and visitors will be invited to meet the four legged mums-to-be.

Doug Douglas, owner of Avon Valley Wildlife Park, said: “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our special Easter celebration.

“We’ve got everything from giant eggs, to dinosaurs, to newborn animals, and of course our special guest The Grinch… what’s not to love!”
