The mental health support worker from Bristol said: “At about 11.30am he sat down and had a little chat with us.
“I asked him what he was doing in Bristol and he said he was just spending some time here. I asked if he had been to Glastonbury but he said no.”
Benedict told Jacob that he did have FOMO (fear of missing out) about not attending the festival.

Hide AdBenedict has been spotted in the area before - back in 2021 he was seen enjoying a bottle of cider on Burrow Hill.
He was in the area filming for Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - the second film in his character’s solo franchise.
It was a complete coincidence that Jacob met Benedict, and he had no idea that his day would take such an interesting turn.
“Mondays are my day off with my son,” he said. “This Monday, I met up with a friend of mine and her son and we were just chatting by the side of the water.

“He said ‘I’ll be honest, if I say yes to you, everyone else is going to ask me,’ so I said that I understood.
“We were saying that it must be so stressful, and then two minutes later, he ran over and said he was sorry and that he was happy to take the photo.
“It’s a really chilled atmosphere there. He was there most of the day and I think it was probably the best day for him - the weather was great and it was really quiet.”
