Easton stabbing: Man in 30s attacked, offender remains at large

Police investigating a stabbing in Easton say the offenders are still at large.
Just after 12.30am this morning (Thursday, August 25) officers were told by paramedics that a man had been found with stab wounds on Stapleton Road.

Hide AdThey arrived on scene and searched the area for the offenders who fled, but they haven’t yet been found.
Meanwhile the injured man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It comes less than 48 hours after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Marksbury Road in Bedminster.


At this stage police don’t believe that the two incidents are linked, but are ‘keeping an open mind’.

Hide AdA cordon remains in place on Stapleton Road while officers gather evidence, speak to witnesses and review CCTV.
Detective Inspector Laura Miller said: “We fully appreciate how two incidents of serious violence on the streets of Bristol could alarm our communities and I want to reassure people we are thoroughly investigating both incidents.
“Neighbourhood officers are also carrying out patrols in both areas and I’d encourage people to approach them if they have any concerns.”
