Bristol Animal Rescue Centre has had an influx of dogs arriving at its door over the Easter period hoping to find forever homes.
The centre has been supporting Bristol’s furry creatures since 1887 and currently has more than a dozen dogs on its books hoping for a fresh start in life. These range from puppies to older dogs hoping to bring a little extra joy to your life.

5. Pablo, American Bulldog - 3-6 years old
Pablo is a big boy who is looking for adopters with previous experience of larger dog breeds, and can confidently handle him. He mostly walks well on lead, but if he sees another dog, or something he wants to go explore then he can be very strong. Pablo is a friendly boy and really enjoys playing with lots of different toys. Sometimes he can get over excited, and would therefore suit a calmer home where he is less likely to get overstimulated. Pablo is a big lad with a big heart, and he deserves a home where he gets all of the attention he deserves.
6. Moose, English Bulldog Terrier - 7-10 years old
Moose is a lovely girl with a cheeky personality and classic English Bull Terrier traits. She would benefit from adopters who have previous experience with the breed, and can truly understand her nature. She is affectionate once she gets to know you, but she likes to take her time when building bonds with new people. She is very food motivated which is great for training, however due to issues with her eye sight she can be a little clumsy when taking the treats from your hand – so watch your fingers! Moose does like to play with toys, but much prefers training with treats or cuddling up to the people she knows best. Being a clever girl, Moose would benefit from further training to keep her mind engaged, and to build a closer bond with her new owners.
7. Maui, Husky - 1-3 years old
Maui is a sweet young husky who will fill your heart with joy. He’s a lovely boy, but needs experienced owners who understand his breed and can bring out the best in him. Maui is your typical husky – he likes to vocalise his feelings and will sing to his hearts content! Although Maui is able to walk and play with other dogs, he would prefer to be the only dog in the home so that he doesn’t have to share his toys with anyone else. Maui is an energetic lad, and is looking for active adopters who can keep up with him – and put up with all his chitter-chatter!
