Two arrests made after ‘disturbance’ at Bristol Sainsbury’s branch

There was a high police presence at a Sainsbury’s supermarket in Bristol this afternoon after officers responded to reports of an assault at the store.

More than half a dozen police cars descended on a ‘disturbance’ at Sainsbury’s Castle Court, off the St Phillips Causeway, at around 11.40am this morning (Wednesday, April 13).

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that two men had been arrested after a reported assault on security staff.

Enquries are ongoing.
