Teenager,14, injured by ‘males on mopeds’ in Fishponds robbery

Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was injured during a robbery in Fishponds.

It happened at around 6pm on Saturday evening (January 15) in the Manor Road and Homefield Drive area.

It is understood that the teenager was wounded by a ‘number of males’ riding mopeds before he was taken to hospital.

The boy’s wallet and mobile phone were also reported stolen.

His injuries are not understood to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “House-to-house and CCTV enquiries are underway.

“Two 17-year-old males were arrested on suspicion of robbery. Both have been released under investigation.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident should call 101 and give reference number 5222011658.”
