A man stole almost £100 worth of vegan chocolate in a robbery at a shop in St Werburghs.

Avon and Somerset Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident on May 26, at around 11.30am.

Officers say a man walked into the Better Foods Store, in Sevier Street, and picked up almost £100 worth of vegan chocolate.

When challenged by a staff member, he threatened them before leaving.

The man in the CCTV footage is described as white, of slim build with short, brown hair and a beard.

He is wearing a denim jacket and grey jogging bottoms.

In the St Werburghs and Montpelier police neighbourhood area there were 63 crimes recorded in April, including eight thefts.

Anyone who can help identify the man in the CCTV image should call 101.
