Man found with serious injuries in St Werburghs

A man was found seriously injured in St Werburghs, triggering a police appeal to find out what happened to him.

The man, in his fifties, was discovered in Gatton Road on December 27 at around 7.45 am.

Avon and Somerset Police have launched a public appeal aiming to establish what led to the man’s injuries.

He is currently being treated in hospital.

Police want to hear from people who were in the area between 2.45 am and 7.45 am on the day.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released under investigation.
