Graffiti has been sprayed on a well-known landmark in Bristol - and police have launched an investigation. The tags appeared on a chimney on Troopers Hill on Friday, December 30.

The chimney, which is 52ft high, served a copper smelting works by the River Avon below. It wa later used by a chemical works before being abandoned at the start of the 20th Century.

It is listed by Historic England. Avon and Somerset Police wants to speak to anyone with information on the graffiti. Anyone wou can help should call 101 and quote reference number 5223003302.
