Girls, aged 12, sexually assaulted on Bristol bus - police CCTV appeal

Two girls were sexually assaulted by touching by a man on a bus in the north of Bristol - and police have now issued a CCTV image as part of an appeal. The incident happened on July 5 between 7pm and 7.30pm.

Avon and Somerset Police say it took place on the 48A bus which goes from UWE to Broadmead. The incident happened while the bus was in Fishponds Road, being driven toward Broadmade.

The two victims, aged 12, are being supported by police following the reports.

A police spokesperosn said: “Do you recognise this man who we want to identify as part of our enquiries into an incident on a bus in Bristol?

“Two girls were sexually assaulted by touching by an unknown man on a 48A bus between 7-7.30pm on Tuesday 5 July. The bus was in Fishponds Road and being driven in the direction of Broadmead.

“CCTV enquiries have been carried out and officers investigating these matters are releasing an image of a man who we want to talk to in connection with these assaults. Witnesses or anyone who recognises the man should call 101 and give reference number 5222159882. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
