Family release picture of missing Bristol man after human remains found in woodland

The family of a missing Bristol man have released a picture of him as police probe the find of human remains in Stockwood.

Officers descended on woodland off Whittock Square after the remains were discovered on Sunday (November 14).

While formal identification of the remains is yet to be confirmed, officers say they have ‘informed’ the family of missing Bristol man Daniel Hill of the investigation and are keeping them updated on its progress.

Daniel Hill was last seen near Bristol Royal Infirmary on September 9, sparking a missing persons appeal.

A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police said: “Our thoughts are with Daniel’s family at this difficult time.

“They have asked that their privacy is respected at this time.”
