E-scooter user hits and injures teenage girl while illegally riding through busy park

A teenage girl suffered a broken collar bone and concussion after she was hit by an e-scooter while in a park in Bristol.

The 14-year-old was struck while walking thorugh Kingswood Park, off the High Street, on July 13 between 6pm and 6.30pm.

After the collision, the rider initially stopped to assist the girl before running from the scene.

Police have described him as white, of slim build, between 40-50 years old, with short, cropped grey hair.

The teenager was taken to hospital and has now been discharged.

Private e-scooters can only be ridden on private land - not on roads, pavements, parks or cycle lanes.

Voi e-scooters are allowed on cycle lanes and roads. Kingswood Park is a no-go area for Voi e-scooters.
