Police have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of murder after a man was allegedly stabbed to death in Castle Park. Avon and Somerset Police released news of the arrest tonight.
The force said that the man was arrested by officers, with the support of a drone and dog unit, at an address in Henleaze.

The arrest comes after a man, in his 30s, was found fatally wounded from a stab wound in Fairfax Street by a member of the public yesterday evening at around 4.30pm.
He was taken to hospital but later died.
The death triggered a murder investigation and the closure of Castle Park, which remained closed tonight as specialist officers search the scene for evidence.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses who may have seen an altercation involving two groups of men, all of whom were Black, in the ruins of St Peter’s Church just before the man was found.


The man arrested today has been taken into police custody where he will be questioned.

A police spokesperson said: “A cordon remains in place around Castle Park while specialist officers forensically examine the scene and collect evidence.
“A high-visibility scene guard will continue this evening in the Castle Park area and we encourage members of the public to speak to our officers with any concerns they may have.”
