Activists due in court after break-in and damage at Aztec West building

Nine activists are due to appear in court after an incident that saw intruders barricade themselves inside a business before causing damage in Bristol.
The building, at Aztec West near Bradley Stoke, was left covered in red paint and with smashed windows after the alleged burglary, which happened on Sunday (May 15).

Hide AdAll of the nine activists are due to appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday, May 17) after being charged with burglary and criminal damage offences in connection with the incident.
Those charged are:
Stavit Sinai, 37, of Woodford Green, Waltham Forest – charged with burglary with intent to commit damage and criminal damage to property (valued at over £5,000)
Ayden Brouwers, 24, of Old Trafford, Trafford – charged with burglary with intent to commit damage and criminal damage to property (valued at over £5,000)
Paul Shortt, 49, of no fixed address – charged with aggravated burglary and criminal damage to property (valued at over £5,000)
