Whether it be the charm of St Nicholas Market, the beauty of the city’s harbourside or the sight of the Clifton Suspension Bridge - it’s no surprise Bristol regularly tops national guides on the best places to live in the UK.

At BristolWorld, we are proud of our city and can not wait to share and celebrate all it has to offer - but we’re also not afraid to lift the lid some of the big challenges it faces.

Which is why we are launching Level Up Bristol, a campaign backed by city MPs which is aimed at tackling inequality across our city.

We believe it is wrong for a city that attracts huge wealth and investment to also have one in seven of its people living in the most deprived areas in the country.

We are aware of the ongoing work through the city, some of it led by Bristol City Council and some by volunteers, aimed at bridging the gap over the divide.

But we want more to be done.

Our aim is to shine the spotlight on inequality in our city and to connect people and organisations to ending poverty, improve health and education and see investment in all neighbourhoods.

Throughout the next few months we will be highlighting the work of community groups, like the Square Food Foundation, and providing a voice to those who need out help.

With millions of pounds allocated to tackle the issue, we will also be following where the money has gone and holding those in power to account.

Please show the campaign your support by reading and sharing our content.

Because together, we can make our city even better, for everyone.
