There is a yellow warning for snow in place

Readers in many parts of the Bristol area have woken up to a blanket of snow this morning. 

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for a brief spell of snow until at least 10am this morning, which could lead to tricky driving conditions in a few places.

Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.

Snow has pitched on the M4 and junction 20 at the Almondsbury interchange, is particularly treacherous, according to police and Highways England.
