Bristol traffic: Siston Lane closed after car crashes into bridge

Police have closed a road just outside Bristol after a car hit a bridge at lunchtime today (September 1).

Siston Lane, which links the B4465 near Pucklechurch and A420 at Bridgeyate, is currently shut as a result of the road traffic collision, Avon and Somerset Police have said.

The incident involved a car which has collided with a bridge going over Siston Brook at 12.10pm.

South Western Ambulance Service has also been called to the scene.

A spokesperson for the service said: “We were called at 12pm to a road traffic collision in Bristol and sent a double-crewed land ambulance.”

Update: The road reopened at 2pm.
