Waitrose has confirmed plans to open a new store in Bristol.

The food retailer is set to open a new 'Little Waitrose' convenience shop in what was formerly the Future Co-Leap co working at 1-3 Gloucester Road.

The confirmation comes after BristolWorld first reported on the plans last month.

A Waitrose spokesperson said: “We have wanted to open a shop in St Andrews for a long time and can't wait to welcome local people to enjoy the great food and service we pride ourselves on.

“We look forward to sharing more news when we can."

The new store will join existing Waitrose shops in Westbury Park and Clifton.

More details, including an opening date and what the shop will offer customers, will be shared later.
