The store opened a year ago and has become a popular option for shoppers in Queens Road and students from the nearby university.

Crosstown is a scratch bakery in London specialising in sourdough doughnuts, small batch ice cream, homemade cookies, extraordinary chocolate, and specialty coffee.

The company started as a street food stall and currently has 25 sites across the UK. In 2017 the brand launched a range of vegan sourdough doughnuts, made with alternative ingredients such as chia seeds, coconut butter and silken tofu.

In 2020, the brand extended their offering to include homemade cookies and ice cream.

Crosstown CEO Howard Ebison said: “To mark the occasion of our Bristol store turning one, we’ll be giving away 100 of our award-winning doughnuts. We’ve been made to feel right at home in Bristol, having met lots of friendly faces who have become regulars at Crosstown.”

The free 100 doughnuts will be given away on a first come, first served basis.
