Bristol's motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 8pm December 9 to 6am December 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 18 to 19 lane closures in both directions for emergency bridge joint repair works.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 10pm December 14 to 6am December 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, entry slip road from M5 southbound, closed for electrical works, diversion via M4 westbound, exit, junction 22, turn to join M4 eastbound to continue journey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
