Bristol's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start this week:

M5, from 9pm May 16 to 6am May 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to junction 19 - Lane closures for drainage works.

M32, from 9pm May 18 to 6am May 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32, junction 1 to 2 southbound, lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm May 18 to 5am May 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 18 lane closure for drainage works.

M5, from 10pm May 19 to 6am May 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 lane closures for maintenance works.

M5, from 10pm May 19 to 6am May 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 - carriageway closed between exit and entry slip roads leading to lane closures between, junction 19 to 18 for structure maintenance, diversion: exit M5 at, junction 19 and immediately re-join M5 northbound, at, junction 19.

M32, from 6pm to 11pm on May 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): Rugby match - Bristol Bears v Saracens.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
