Bristol's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bristol's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm October 16 to 6am October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18 lane closures for structure maintenance.

M32, from 10pm October 16 to 6am October 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 3 to 2 - carriageway closure for central reservation works, diversion - B4051, A38, B4469 Muller Road, re-join M32, Access to Mina Road from M32, junction 3 entry slip road to remain open.

M49, from 10am to 3pm on October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M49 southbound, junction 1 to M5, junction 18 - lane closure for sweeping of carriageway.

M32, from 10pm October 18 to 6am October 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 2 to 3 carriageway closure for central reservation works, diversion B4469 Muller Road, A38, B4051 Ashley Road to junction 3.

M5, from 8pm October 22 to 6am October 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18A to 19, lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 8pm October 29 to 6am October 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19, lane closure for electrical works.

A4, from 10pm October 30 to 6am October 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 18 exit slip road and slip road to Portway Roundabout closure for electrical works, diversion via M5 northbound, exit, junction 17 and return, diversion for Portway Roundabout via St Brendans Roundabout and Bristow Broadway.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
